CVE-2026-106072
Public on 2026-10-22
Modified on 2026-10-22
Description
A vulnerability in Node.js TLS certificate validation allows non-canonical IPv4 hostnames to be incorrectly matched against DNS Subject Alternative Name (SAN) entries in certificates. This may allow a certificate issued for a DNS name to authenticate an IP endpoint, potentially bypassing intended hostname validation.
